Our founders grew up in the Elgin area and were struck by the lack of modern salon offerings for the community upon their return - so they did something about it. Spectral Beauty opined its doors to fulfill an unmet desire for high quality, contemporary hair care in the Elgin Region.


Trained and apprenticed in New York, Chicago, and New York City, our founders envisioned Spectral Beauty to be a marriage of urban style and the Metro vibe.
